Farfetch Italy Review 2026: Best Designer Finds to Buy
Farfetch’s Italian storefront rewards patience and full-price buying more than bargain raids. Here is when the promotions land, which sections earn your euros, and how free returns, Klarna and the €300 delivery line work in Italy.
We earn a commission if you buy through the Farfetch Italy links on this page. It never changes a call. How that works.
- Skip the upgrade
- Skip paying for express when your basket sits near €300. Above that line, standard delivery to Italy costs nothing, on full-price and sale orders alike.
- Best time to buy
- During a promotion on full-price stock. From 30 October to 11 November 2026, items labelled Special Offer carry 25% off, and full-price pieces keep the normal 30-day return.

Farfetch does not buy stock. Its own contact page says it has no buying department: brands and partner boutiques list their pieces, set their own prices and ship the parcel themselves, while Farfetch runs the checkout, the returns system and customer service. For a shopper in Italy that model has two practical consequences. Prices are in euros with duties and VAT already inside them, so no customs bill turns up at the door. And the same jacket can cost different amounts depending on which boutique holds your size.
Our short version: buy full-price pieces during a promotion rather than chasing final-sale markdowns, keep the basket above €300 so standard delivery is free, and write rather than ring if your Italian is shaky, because the Milan number answers in Italian only.
The 6 we looked at
Women’s Designer Bags
The section where Italy’s free returns, Klarna instalments and the €300 delivery line all work in your favour at once.
Bags are where the Italian storefront’s rules line up best. A bag priced above €300 ships free by standard delivery; duties and VAT are already in the euro price; and a full-price bag can go back free within 30 days of delivery, by booked collection or drop-off. Italy is also one of the markets where Farfetch offers Klarna instalments, capped at €2,000 an order. Treat that as a cash-flow tool, not a licence to stretch.
The weak spot is the return inspection. The policy wants accessories sent back with the branded box and dust bag, inside a protective box, and the boutique decides whether they pass. A recent one-star review in Italian describes a refund refused after a 20-day wait because the item returned was judged not to be the one sold. Photograph the bag, its tags and its packaging before you try it.
The catch
- The selling boutique inspects returns and can reject them
- Prices differ by seller and are not held while an item sits in your bag
Why it's smart
- Free standard delivery above €300, sale or full price
- Klarna instalments offered in Italy, up to €2,000 an order
- Branded boxes and dust bags travel with the order where supplied
The numbers
- Free delivery standard, on orders over €300
- Returns 30 days from delivery, free
- Klarna cap, Italy €2,000 per order
- Return packing branded box, dust bag, protective box

Women’s Sale
Real markdowns across hundreds of labels, but the Italian returns page spells out that final-sale pieces cannot come back.
Farfetch’s sale covers womenswear, menswear and kidswear, and its index of brands on sale runs from Prada and Brunello Cucinelli to Elisabetta Franchi and Twinset. Each boutique sets its own reductions, so one seller can discount an item that another still lists at full price. Sale orders also count towards the €300 free-delivery threshold in Italy, which is not the case in every Farfetch market.
The catch is in writing. The Italian returns policy lists final-sale items as non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or faulty, and the terms put any refund on them at Farfetch’s discretion, while stating that your statutory withdrawal rights are unaffected. Buy sale pieces only in a size and label you already own. When fit is a gamble, a full-price piece bought during a promotion is usually the cheaper mistake.
The catch
- Final-sale pieces cannot be returned unless damaged or faulty
- Reductions vary by boutique, so the same item can cost more elsewhere on the site
Why it's smart
- Markdowns across a long list of Italian and international labels
- Sale orders still count towards free delivery over €300
The numbers
- Final sale no returns unless damaged or faulty
- Free delivery threshold €300, sale orders included
- Departments women, men and kids

Pre-Owned
Checked second-hand pieces, from 2000s dresses to 1970s vintage, sold through the same checkout and returns system as new stock.
Farfetch’s returns page says pre-owned items are checked before sale, and the Italian pre-owned pages cover dresses, tops and accessories, with the category copy pitching both 2000s pieces and vintage from the 1970s. They sit under the standard policy: 30 days, free collection or drop-off, original condition.
That last condition is the hard part. A worn piece has to come back in exactly the state it arrived, and condition is partly a matter of opinion. Disputes about condition run through Farfetch’s low-rated reviews, including a recent French one-star on the Italian Trustpilot site from a buyer who says the shoes sent had already been worn. Zoom into every photo, read the condition description, and record the piece on arrival before deciding to keep it.
The catch
- Condition is partly subjective, and photos can understate wear
Why it's smart
- Pre-owned stock is checked before sale, per the returns page
- Same free 30-day returns as new items
The numbers
- Quality check before sale
- Returns standard 30-day policy
- Range dresses, tops and accessories

Second Life
Trade in a designer bag you no longer carry for Farfetch credit, with a free collection and a member bonus on top.
Second Life is open in every EU country, Italy included. Send photos of a bag made by one of the accepted brands and Farfetch prices it in three working days or less; a courier then collects it for free, and after the bag clears its check the credit arrives in your account inside ten working days. Access members get extra: 5% at Bronze, 10% at Silver and Gold, 15% at Platinum and Private Client.
Two limits matter. It accepts bags only, and it pays in Farfetch credit rather than cash, so it suits people who were going to spend on Farfetch anyway. English readers should know the Italian version of the service page is written in Italian. The steps are simple, but keep a translation tool handy for the brand list and the small print.
The catch
- Pays in Farfetch credit only, never cash
- Bags only, and only from an approved brand list
Why it's smart
- Free collection and no commission taken from the quote
- Member bonus of 5% to 15% extra credit
The numbers
- Accepts bags from listed luxury brands
- Quote within three working days
- Credit within ten working days of approval
- Member bonus 5% to 15% extra credit

Men’s High-Top Sneakers
A deep pool of boutique stock where your size may still exist, at a price that can jump once you select it.
Footwear is where the boutique network earns its keep, because stock of a given pair is spread over many shops, and a size gone at one can survive at another. Sneakers also dominate the FARFETCH FIRST edit, the free next-day upgrade on selected items, which showed several pairs due within two days when we looked at the Italian storefront.
Wait for a promotion before paying full price, for two reasons. Farfetch’s pricing page says an item’s price varies with the seller and your location and is not reserved when you add it to your bag, so the headline figure may not be the one in your size. And the return rules are strict: soles must be unmarked and the shoe box undamaged, with the box sent back inside protective packaging. Try new pairs on a rug, and keep the box spotless.
The catch
- Returns need unmarked soles and an undamaged shoe box
- Price can change with the size and seller you choose
Why it's smart
- Sizes sold out elsewhere can still sit at another boutique
- Some pairs qualify for FARFETCH FIRST next-day delivery
The numbers
- Return condition unmarked soles, undamaged box
- Fast option FARFETCH FIRST on selected items
- Boutique processing up to 2 business days

Kidswear
Children’s lines from the big houses plus Italian names such as Monnalisa, best bought for occasions rather than everyday wear.
The kids’ department sits beside women’s and men’s on the Italian storefront, with a sale of its own. Farfetch’s sale index lists children’s lines from Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Marni and Moschino alongside the Italian label Monnalisa. For christenings, weddings and birthday outfits it puts several labels into one checkout, with duties and VAT already counted.
Designer kidswear is hard to justify for clothes outgrown in a season, so keep it for occasions. Orders drawn from several boutiques can also arrive as more than one package, as the tracking page warns, so allow spare days before a fixed date. Returns from different boutiques must be packed separately, each with its own label, which turns a mixed order into a small logistics job.
The catch
- Poor value for everyday basics children quickly outgrow
- Mixed-boutique orders can arrive on different days
Why it's smart
- Kids’ sale with children’s lines from major Italian houses
- Several labels in one checkout, duties and VAT included
The numbers
- Department kidswear, with its own sale
- Mixed orders may arrive as several parcels
- Returns one package and label per boutique

Reading the one-star reviews
Farfetch holds 4.2 out of 5 on Trustpilot’s Italian site, a figure that pools reviews in every language. Filter to one and two stars and the Italian-language complaints are specific. One buyer says a return was refused after 20 days on the grounds that the item sent back was not the one sold. Another reports a faulty product awaiting replacement and weeks of silence after template emails. English-language reviews from late October add split orders with half the items missing, late dispatch, return collections that never turned up, and a failed checkout whose payment stayed blocked on a card for 19 days.
Farfetch replies to almost all of them, usually by asking for an order number by email. Our reading: when an order is simple and arrives in one parcel, buyers are happy; when anything goes wrong, resolution is slow.

If Farfetch Italy is not it
- MYTHERESA. Choose it instead if you would rather buy from one retailer holding its own stock than from a network of boutiques with differing prices.
- LuisaViaRoma. Choose it instead if you prefer dealing with a single Florence-based store rather than a marketplace.
- Vestiaire Collective. Choose it instead if second-hand is your main interest and you want to sell more than bags.
Questions, answered
Do I pay customs or VAT on Farfetch orders delivered to Italy?
Not at the door. Farfetch’s delivery page lists the EU, apart from the Canary Islands, among destinations where duties and taxes are included in the order price, so the euro total at checkout is what you pay. The exception is a Delivery At Place destination, where duties are paid to the courier before release. Italy is not one of those, but read the checkout summary if you ever send a gift outside the EU.
Can I speak to Farfetch customer service in English from Italy?
By email, yes. The Italian contact page says phone support on +39 02 8295 5730 is in Italian only, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 Italian time, and that you can write in English and expect a reply within 24 hours. Replies slow down during sales, holidays and campaigns, so quote your order reference at the top of every email and keep one thread.
How does the EU 14-day withdrawal right differ from the 30-day return?
Farfetch’s terms describe a statutory cancellation right of 14 days from the day after delivery, separate from its own 30-day returns service. The free returns route is the easier one for most people. If you cancel under the statutory right instead, the terms say you arrange and pay for sending items back to the boutique. The terms also say final-sale labels do not affect that right. This is general information, not legal advice.
