Nordstrom Rack is the off-price arm of Nordstrom, selling past-season and made-for-Rack stock online and in stores. Every product page shows a current price beside a higher comparable value, and the gap is often 50% or more. The real bargains are Nordstrom’s own labels (Nordstrom, Halogen, Abound and items branded Nordstrom Rack), which carry hundreds of reviews and fabric details you can check before you buy.
The costs hide in the fine print. Orders under $89 pay $9.95 to ship, every mailed return has $9.95 taken off the refund, and anything marked Final Sale cannot come back at all. This is the house-label cashmere crew that turns up in Rack’s gift picks, and the numbers are hard to argue with: 100% cashmere, $59.97 against a $129 comparable value, sizes XS to XXL, and 4.2 out of 5 from 482 reviews, with 68% of them five stars. Reviewers call it light rather than thick, and most say the fit is true to size.
Read the low ratings first. The most-upvoted critical review describes receiving a sweater that had clearly been worn and washed, with a large hole. A longer review says sizing varied between colors bought at the same time, and recommends keeping a fabric shaver handy for pilling. It is dry clean only, so factor that in. Check the sweater the day it arrives, and keep the tags on.

Halogen is a Nordstrom-owned label, and this sleeveless ribbed crewneck is its basic layering tank. The page lists 95% rayon and 5% spandex, a 24 1/2 inch length in a medium, machine washing and sizes XS to XL. With 483 reviews averaging 4.7, and 82% of them five stars, it is one of the safest $9.97 buys on the site.
The complaint that shows up is about thickness. The most helpful critical review says the fit was fine but the fabric was so thin it showed every curve, and that other tanks were more flattering. Rayon also tends to soften and lose shape faster than cotton. Treat this as an underlayer for cardigans and jackets rather than a stand-alone top, and buy two in neutral colors to get past the $89 free-shipping line.

Abound is Nordstrom’s casual label, and this pullover has vertical ribbing, a crewneck and what the page calls a roomy, long-sleeve fit. The fabric is 56% cotton with polyester, acrylic and a little spandex, and it can go in the washer and dryer, which is not a given for sweaters. Ratings are strong: 4.7 out of 5 from 61 reviews, with 82% five stars.
The critical reviews agree on one point. The most helpful one, from August 2026, says it is basically a crop top and nothing like the length in the photos, and another reviewer says it is extremely cropped although the listing never says so. Long-torsoed shoppers should size up or pass. Otherwise it is a solid $20 sweater with easy care.

Nordstrom Rack Trim Fit Stretch Suit Separates Trousers

Rack’s own trim-fit dress trousers with stretch, sold as suit separates for $40 and rated 4.5 from 410 reviews.
These are Rack-label suit trousers with a flat front, zip fly and button closure, cut trim and made from 63% polyester, 33% viscose and 4% elastane. They sell as separates, so you can match a jacket size and trouser size independently, and the 410 reviews average 4.5 with 78% five stars. Reviewers praise the stretch and say the fabric does not wrinkle.
The fit is where the complaints sit. One reviewer’s son found them tight across the quads and loose at the waist; another said they ran a bit tighter than her husband’s other size-38 trousers, and the next waist size up did not come in the short inseam he needed. A one-star review says the security sensor was left on. They are dry clean only, which adds to the real cost.

The real UGG ankle boot with a sheepskin lining, but at only about 26% under its comparable value.
This is the genuine UGG Classic Mini II: a 5-inch shaft, suede and sheepskin upper, a 17 mm sheepskin lining and UGG’s Treadlite outsole, pretreated against moisture and stains. Per the listing, sizing is true to size (whole sizes only) and the boot fits snugly at first, with the shearling conforming over time. Its 954 reviews average 4.2.
Two things argue for waiting. The discount is thin by Rack standards, at $129.97 against $175, while the house-label picks above sit 50% to 80% below their comparable values. And one in ten reviews is a single star. Several low-rated reviewers say the color they received (described as metallic, bronze or penny-like) looked nothing like the photo, one could not get her foot through the narrow opening, and one says her pair arrived stained with no exchange offered.

The pitch is strong: a cropped, button-front crewneck cardigan from the Rack label at up to 81% off. The details are weaker. It is 88% polyester and 12% nylon, and the shipping box on the page says the item is Final Sale and not eligible for returns or exchanges. That combination is the problem, because if the fit or fabric disappoints, you own it.
The reviews back up the caution. It averages 3.9 out of 5 from 100 reviews, the weakest of the picks here, and 15% are one star. The most helpful critical review says it snagged within two hours of first wear on a trip, after nothing more than sitting in a taxi and a restaurant. For about the same money, the Abound pullover is returnable, machine washable and mostly cotton.

The recent one-star reviews are mostly about fulfillment rather than clothes. Shoppers describe adult sneakers shipped instead of the kids’ sizes ordered, designer sunglasses arriving in the wrong boxes, a final-sale shoe delivered in the wrong size, an online order canceled without notice while the gift-card balance sat frozen, and chat agents ending conversations mid-problem.
