Burrow Review: The Sofas to Buy in 2026
Burrow’s cheapest three-seat sofa is its smartest buy, but only with the 25% code that keeps reappearing. Here is which sofa to pick, what a return really costs, and why the ship date matters more than the fabric.

Burrow sells modular sofas that arrive in ordinary parcel boxes, roughly 40 pounds each, and click together without tools. That is a real advantage in a walk-up apartment, and it is the main reason to buy here rather than from a showroom brand.
A three-seat sofa lists from $1,739 to $1,949, and a promo code has been taking about a quarter off at checkout. Our advice: buy the Range 3-Piece Sofa with the code, pick a color the product page says ships soon, and read the returns page before you order. Burrow charges 10% of the price to take furniture back, 20% without the original boxes, and its Trustpilot page is dominated by delivery delays.
The lineup, model by model
Range 3-Piece Sofa
$1,739 Moss Green flatweave with oak legs. The FALL25 code showed $1,304 in October.
Burrow’s lowest-priced full sofa, with deep seats, a low profile and the same modular system as pricier lines.
Range is the low, Scandinavian-style line, and the Range Plus version on sale now has triple-layer cushions and PFAS-free performance fabric. The 3-piece sofa runs 91.5 inches wide with a 21-inch seat depth, and Burrow sells add-on modules, an ottoman and a $355 sleep kit if you want to grow it later.
It costs $210 less than a Nomad or Mercer sofa of similar size, which is why it is our pick. The catch is timing. The green fabric we priced was quoting seven to nine weeks, while Stone Grey showed four to six, and low-rated Trustpilot reviews repeatedly describe quoted dates that slipped by a month or more. The seat height is also low at 16 inches, which some people find hard to get out of.

Nomad Sofa

The sofa Burrow built its name on, now with plusher cushions and a USB port in the frame.
Nomad is the mid-century design Burrow is best known for: a hardwood frame, steel latches, reversible back cushions tufted on one side, a choice of high or low arms, and a built-in USB charger. The sofa is 85 inches wide with a 22-inch seat depth, a touch narrower than the Range.
The new Nomad Plus cushions answer an old complaint. One Trustpilot reviewer called their original Nomad far too firm. A more serious complaint comes from older owners trying to extend their sofa: two reviewers say Burrow had no matching modules a few years later, or only discontinued ones at steep prices, which undercuts the whole modular pitch. Arm style can also change the wait. One buyer’s loveseat sat for months until they switched to the other arm type.

Mercer 3-Piece Sofa

Burrow’s roomier, more tailored modular sofa, and the one we saw marked in stock rather than weeks away.
Mercer has a sculpted arm, tapered legs and the deepest, tallest seat of the three sofa lines here: 23 inches deep and 18.5 inches high. It comes in five Oeko-Tex certified performance fabrics plus one top-grain leather, across 20 configurations, and Burrow says replacement parts are available to buy.
The navy version we priced said “In stock! Ready to Ship”, which is the best reason to choose it over Nomad at the same list price. Treat that label with some care. Recent one-star Trustpilot reviews describe items shown as in stock that then moved to multi-week backorders, and one buyer said a written reply admitted there was no stock and no date. Leather costs noticeably more: a 2-piece Mercer runs up to $2,179 depending on material.

Opera Media Console
$1,149 Oak. Marked down to $689 in October, a 40% cut.
A slatted-door media console that lets remotes and sound through, and the best discount on the site when we looked.
Opera is 70 inches wide and 20 inches tall, with slatted accordion doors that let sound and remote signals pass, open-back bays for airflow and a full-width shelf deep enough for a long soundbar. Burrow lists solid ash, veneer and MDF as the materials.
At $689 it was 40% off, and the code does not apply on top, so that sale price is the number to watch. The 305 on-site reviews average 4.9, and the most common gripe in them is design, not quality: the interior shelf height is fixed at 8 inches, so one owner could not fit a 10-inch router without removing a shelf. Check your box heights first. A Trustpilot reviewer also received the wrong product at first, though support fixed it quickly.

Chorus Bed
$1,835 Queen in oak with tapered legs; $1,376 with the October code.
A tool-free wood bed frame with a headboard that bolts to the frame, priced like furniture, not flat-pack.
Chorus is Burrow’s answer to the creaky flat-pack bed. The rails join the legs with mortise-and-tenon corners and hand screws, heavy slats anchor at the corners, and the headboard attaches to the frame instead of leaning on the wall. The queen is rated for 700 pounds and ships in two or three boxes.
The 39 on-site reviews average 5.0, so there is little negative evidence about the bed itself. The weakness is price: $1,835 for a queen frame is a lot for a slatted platform, and it only makes sense at the code price or lower. Delivery complaints on Trustpilot apply here too, and a bed frame you are waiting on is harder to live without than a sofa.

Shift Sleeper Sofa
$2,479 Heather Charcoal; $1,859 with the code. Navy was quoting 13 to 15 weeks.
A compact sofa that unfolds into a queen foam mattress, let down by one of the longest waits on the site.
Shift folds out to a real queen-size, all-foam CertiPUR-US mattress without a metal pull-out, and its arm cushions double as standard pillows. At 84 inches wide it fits where the Span sleeper, at 94 inches, will not.
We pass for one reason: the wait. The charcoal version we priced was quoting 17 to 19 weeks, and navy 13 to 15. That is four months or more for a sofa, from a company whose one-star Trustpilot reviews are mostly about quoted dates that slid further. If you need a sleeper this year, the Span Sleeper Sofa costs $270 more and was quoting five to seven weeks, or put the $355 Range Sleep Kit on a Range sofa instead. Shift’s legs are also very short at 2.6 inches.

Burrow’s own product pages look spotless: the sofa pages show 4.7 stars from 1,616 reviews, a total that appears on every sofa line, and the review sort offers highest rating first but no lowest-rated option. Trustpilot tells a different story, rating Burrow 2.5 out of 5 from 567 reviews, with 47% one-star.
The complaints are mostly about time, not furniture. Buyers describe five-to-seven-week quotes that became three months, items labeled ready to ship that went on backorder, orders arriving in scattered boxes with legs or hardware missing, and cancellations that took weeks to refund. Several say support is email only, slow, and feels automated. Long-time owners add a sharper point: modules for older Nomads were unavailable or did not match. The positive reviews praise easy assembly, durable fabric and helpful showroom staff.

FAQ
What does a Burrow sofa return cost?
Burrow keeps 10% of what you paid if you return furniture in its original packaging, or 20% without it, capped at $250 per item. On a $1,949 sofa that is about $195 with the boxes. You must start the return within 30 days of the last box arriving, and the item must be clean and undamaged. Damaged or defective items are covered by the warranty with no fee, but Burrow asks for photos.
Are Burrow sofas really fast to ship?
Sometimes. Each product page shows its own estimate under the price, and in October those ranged from “In stock! Ready to Ship” to 17 to 19 weeks for the Shift sleeper. The color you pick often changes the date. Many one-star Trustpilot reviews describe estimates that later slipped, so screenshot the date shown at checkout and ask support to confirm it if you have a deadline.
Does Burrow offer promo codes?
Yes, and the product pages show them. In October each sofa page displayed a second price “with code FALL25”, 25% below list, applied at checkout. Items already marked down, such as the Opera Media Console at 40% off, did not show the code price. Burrow’s Warehouse Sale page also lists older lines, like the Field sofas, at 40% off.
Can I swap fabric or color after delivery?
Once. Burrow offers one free exchange within the 30-day window if you still have the original packaging: it refunds the first order in full and you place a new one. Any further returns pay the normal fee. Burrow treats slight color variation and firmness as preference, not defects, so order the free swatches before you buy.
