Skechers Review 2026: Which Shoes Are Worth the Money

The cheapest Skechers Slip-ins do the trick the pricier ones charge extra for. Which pairs earn their price, which run big or narrow, and why joining the free Skechers Plus program pays.

Skechers sells comfort shoes at department-store prices: most of its walking sneakers list between $75 and $105, and the site runs member promotions often enough that few people need to pay list. Its signature now is Hands Free Slip-ins, shoes with a molded heel you can step into without bending down.

The value case is strong, with caveats. Sizing varies a lot between models, so a size that fits in one line can swim in another, and returns are refused once shoes have been worn outside. Our advice: join Skechers Plus before you buy, because members get free shipping, a 90-day return window instead of 45, and the member discounts. Then try new shoes indoors on carpet before deciding to keep them.

The lineup, model by model

01Smart buyBest for: Hands-free everyday wear

Skechers Slip-ins: Summits - High Range

$85 Men’s, black/charcoal. Skechers Plus members were offered 20% off at the cart in October.

The least expensive way into Skechers’ Hands Free Slip-ins, with a mesh upper you can throw in the washer.

Summits - High Range has the parts that make a Slip-in work: the molded heel counter and Heel Pillow that hold your foot once you step in, an Air-Cooled Memory Foam insole and a lightweight cushioned midsole. The upper is mesh with fixed stretch laces, the materials are vegan, and Skechers says it is machine washable.

With 1,784 reviews it is one of the most reviewed shoes on the site. The lowest-rated ones are mostly about size: several buyers who wear the same size in other Skechers say this pair ran large, with room for a finger behind the heel. Others found the laces purely decorative, so there is no way to snug it up, and one reported the heel breaking down within two months. Order your usual size and be ready to exchange.

Not so good

  • Several buyers say it runs large compared with other Skechers
  • Laces are fixed, so you cannot tighten the fit

Good

  • Hands-free heel at the lowest Slip-ins price we found
  • Machine washable mesh and vegan materials

From the product page

  • Upper mesh with fixed stretch laces
  • Insole Air-Cooled Memory Foam
  • Heel height 1 1/4 inches
  • Care machine washable

02Good buyBest for: Chunky retro sneaker fans

D’Lites - Biggest Fan

$75 Women’s, black/white, at full price in October.

The classic chunky D’Lites dad-shoe shape with a memory foam insole, at one of Skechers’ lower prices.

D’Lites is the chunky retro sneaker Skechers has sold for years, and Biggest Fan is a current version with a Trubuck leather, mesh and synthetic upper, a lace-up front, a shock-absorbing midsole and an Air-Cooled Memory Foam insole. At $75 it is one of the cheaper full-price sneakers on the site, and its 987 reviews make it a safe, well-documented choice.

The weakness is shape. Low-rated reviews describe it as narrow even in wide sizes, too bulky for some, and painful on a treadmill for one buyer who expected a walking shoe. One older review points to a less obvious trap: shoes worn outside to test them could not be returned. Wear them around the house first, and look at a GO WALK model if you want something soft and stretchy.

Not so good

  • Reported narrow, even in wide widths
  • Heavier and bulkier than knit walking shoes

Good

  • Long-running design with nearly 1,000 reviews
  • Leather-and-mesh upper at a $75 list price

From the product page

  • Upper Trubuck leather, mesh and synthetic
  • Insole Air-Cooled Memory Foam
  • Heel height 1 1/4 inches

03Good buyBest for: Restaurant and hospital shifts

Work Slip-Resistant Relaxed Fit: Max Cushioning Elite

$105 Women’s, black. A 25% work-and-safety discount at the cart brought it to $78.75 in October.

A slip-resistant work sneaker with Skechers’ thickest cushioning and a roomier Relaxed Fit toe box.

This is the work version of Max Cushioning Elite: an SRO-rated slip-resistant outsole for wet, dry and oily floors, Relaxed Fit for extra room at the toes and forefoot, a memory foam insole and a 2-inch heel. Skechers pitches it for standing and walking through long shifts, and 749 reviews suggest plenty of people buy it for exactly that.

The low-rated reviews are pointed. One restaurant worker says it still slipped despite the rating, and several others describe a hard sole that left feet and legs aching after a full day, with two suggesting the cushioning has firmed up compared with older pairs. At $78.75 with the work discount it is fairly priced for a slip-resistant shoe, but once you have worn it on a shift it is no longer returnable.

Not so good

  • Some shift workers still report slipping or sore feet
  • Several reviewers find the sole harder than expected

Good

  • SRO slip-resistant outsole rated for oily floors
  • Relaxed Fit leaves more room at the toes

From the product page

  • Outsole slip-resistant (SRO rated)
  • Fit Relaxed Fit, roomier toe and forefoot
  • Heel height 2 inches
  • Care machine washable

04Good buyBest for: Long walks and errands

Max Cushioning Elite 3

$105 Women’s, light blue/pink. Marked down to $72.99 in October.

Skechers’ most heavily cushioned everyday sneaker, with a rocker sole, and a much better deal at its October markdown.

Max Cushioning Elite 3 stacks ULTRA GO foam and a Goga Mat insole on a rocker-shaped sole that Skechers calls Natural Rocker Technology, with a 7mm heel-to-toe drop and a grippy rubber outsole. The page lists 9.4 ounces in a women’s size 6, which is light for this much foam.

It is new enough to have only 25 reviews, so judge cautiously. The two lowest-rated ones say it lacked arch support for a high arch and stopped feeling cushioned a few hours into an eight-hour shift on the feet; a third calls the pink colorway peach and found the pair stiff at first. At $105 it is hard to recommend over cheaper models, but the October markdown to $72.99 makes it a fair price for the cushioning.

Not so good

  • Little arch support for high arches, per reviews
  • Only 25 reviews so far

Good

  • Deep cushioning at 9.4 ounces in a size 6
  • Rocker sole for a smooth heel-to-toe roll

From the product page

  • Weight 9.4 oz, women’s size 6
  • Heel-to-toe offset 7mm
  • Midsole ULTRA GO foam, rocker shape

Skechers Slip-ins: GO WALK Now - Khloe

$90 Women’s, black/purple. Marked down to $62.99 in October.

A knit women’s Slip-in with No Tie laces that is worth buying at its markdown, not at $90.

GO WALK Now - Khloe is a women’s Slip-in with the molded heel panel and Heel Pillow, an engineered mesh upper with stretch laces, a Goga Mat insole, ULTRA LIGHT cushioning and a 1 1/2-inch heel. It is vegan and machine washable.

Its 172 reviews are mostly happy, but the low-rated ones line up on two issues. Fit is narrow in the toes, enough that one reviewer advises sizing up, while another had heel slip bad enough to threaten blisters. Durability is the other: several buyers say the sole wore through within two to six months of regular walking. That makes $90 a poor price, while the $62.99 markdown in October is about right for a light-duty shoe.

Not so good

  • Soles reported worn through within months
  • Narrow toe box; heel slip for some

Good

  • Hands-free entry with laces that never come untied
  • Machine washable and vegan

From the product page

  • Upper engineered mesh, fixed stretch laces
  • Insole Air-Cooled Goga Mat
  • Heel height 1 1/2 inches

06Wait for a saleBest for: Daily walkers who want bounce

Skechers Slip-ins: GO WALK 8 - Enrikay

$105 Men’s, black. No markdown on this colorway in October; Plus member codes apply.

The newest GO WALK with Slip-ins, adjustable laces and springier foam, priced $20 above the Summits.

GO WALK 8 - Enrikay adds things the cheaper Slip-ins lack: adjustable laces, ULTRA GO foam with Ultra Pillars under the forefoot for rebound, a dual-density outsole and an engineered mesh upper. It keeps the Slip-ins heel, is machine washable and vegan, and sits on a 1 1/2-inch heel.

Only 34 reviews so far, and they are broadly positive. The complaints that exist are specific: no wide width, so one buyer returned two pairs; a toe box that could be roomier; white soles that discolor; and one order that arrived in the wrong color. The real issue is price. At $105 it is $20 more than the Summits for refinements most walkers will not feel, so wait for a member sale.

Not so good

  • No wide width option
  • Costs $20 more than the Summits - High Range

Good

  • Adjustable laces, unlike the cheaper Slip-ins
  • Springier ULTRA GO foam with forefoot pillars

From the product page

  • Midsole ULTRA GO foam with Ultra Pillars
  • Upper engineered mesh, adjustable laces
  • Heel height 1 1/2 inches
  • Care machine washable

07PassBest for: Style over long walks

UNO - Stand on Air

$80 Women’s, black/black. Full price in October.

A fashion sneaker with a visible air sole and a hidden wedge that many buyers did not expect.

The UNO is Skechers’ style sneaker: a smooth perforated synthetic upper, a visible Skech-Air cushioned midsole, a memory foam insole and a wedge fit with a hidden 1-inch heel inside a 1 1/2-inch total heel. It has 2,058 reviews, more than any other pick here.

We pass because the low-rated reviews describe a fit problem rather than a one-off defect. Many say it runs small and narrow, and one buyer ordered several times and returned every pair. One worker did not realize there was a built-in lift until a day of toes jammed into the front of the shoe. Another says the delivered pair had clearly been worn, with walked-on soles. If you want a comfortable everyday sneaker, the flat D’Lites costs less.

Not so good

  • Runs small and narrow, per many reviews
  • Hidden wedge pushes toes forward on long days

Good

  • Visible air cushion and clean, minimal look
  • Huge review base, so fit feedback is easy to find

From the product page

  • Midsole Skech-Air visible air cushion
  • Fit wedge with hidden 1-inch heel
  • Upper perforated synthetic durabuck

What buyers complain about

On Skechers’ own site most popular models carry hundreds or thousands of reviews and the five-star share is large. Sorted lowest first, the pattern is consistent across models: sizing that does not match other Skechers (too big in the Summits, too small and narrow in the UNO), soles that wear through in months, and a few orders that arrived late, in the wrong color or visibly used.

Trustpilot is much harsher, rating Skechers 1.9 out of 5, “Poor”, when we read it, though many recent reviews there concern stores in the UK and Ireland. October 2026 reviews describe soles detaching, faux leather cracking after about a dozen wears and service that offered 20% off a new pair instead of a refund. One recent reviewer did report a full refund. Treat any Skechers purchase as a fit test: keep the box and wear them only indoors at first.

Cheap, comfortable everyday shoes with generous return windows for members, offset by inconsistent sizing between models, durability complaints and a 1.9 Trustpilot score driven by soles and service.

If Skechers is not it

  • New Balance. Choose it instead if you need wide and extra-wide widths across many walking models.
  • Brooks. Choose it instead if you want walking shoes from a running specialist and do not mind tying laces.
  • Hoka. Choose it instead if you want a thick-soled cushioned shoe from a running brand and can spend more.

Questions, answered

Can I return Skechers I have worn?

No. Skechers’ return policy says only unworn items in original packaging are eligible, and worn, damaged or out-of-window returns will not be refunded. Guests get 45 days from shipment and Skechers Plus members get 90. Return postage by mail is free within the window. Orders paid with Klarna or Afterpay and returned in a store get an exchange or credit, not a refund.

Is Skechers Plus worth joining?

For online orders, yes. It is free, and signed-in members get free shipping on every order, a 90-day return window instead of 45 days, and access to member promotions such as the 20% off select regular-priced items that ran from October 22 to 26. The trade-off is handing over your email and purchase history to a loyalty program.

Do Skechers Slip-ins run true to size?

It depends on the model, which is the main lesson of the low-rated reviews. Several Summits - High Range buyers say it ran large compared with other Skechers in the same size, while GO WALK Now - Khloe reviewers describe a narrow toe box and suggest sizing up. Order your usual size, try them indoors, and exchange within the window if needed.
