SHEIN is an online-only fashion giant that sells its own labels (EZwear, DAZY, SHEIN LUNE, SHEIN BAE, Manfinity for men) next to a growing marketplace of outside sellers. Almost every product page shows a crossed-out price with a 20% to 40% discount underneath, so treat the lower number as the real price and the struck-through one as decoration.
The smart way to shop it is narrow: basics from the house labels, bought in a fabric you can read on the product page before you pay. Composition is listed on every item, and it often tells a different story from the title. Order two sizes of anything fitted, keep the order together so you only use your one free return, and leave trend pieces and anything labeled final sale alone.

Manfinity is SHEIN’s own menswear line, and this is its no-logo, textured pullover hoodie with a drawstring hood and patch detail. The product page lists 95% polyester and 5% elastane with a slight stretch, a regular fit and regular length, and rates it for spring and fall temperatures rather than deep winter. Every size from XS to XXL was the same $14.97 sale price in October.
The weak spot is the fabric. This is a polyester knit, not cotton fleece, so expect it to feel slicker and less breathable than a gym-store hoodie, and one detailed Trustpilot review in October complained that SHEIN’s stretch fabrics now feel hard and plasticky and that items arrive a size or two bigger than labeled. At this price, size down if you sit between sizes and keep the tags on until you have worn it around the house.

EZwear is the label SHEIN uses for its casual basics, and this scoop-neck tee is the kind of piece the site does well: simple, fitted and almost disposable in price. The page describes a rib-knit, slim-fit crop with cap sleeves and slight stretch, sold in XS to XL, with more colors behind the white one we read.
Read the details before you add five to the cart. It is 95% polyester and 5% elastane, not cotton, and the length is listed as crop, so it is a layering piece rather than a tuck-in tee. The listing also tags it as backless, an odd attribute for a T-shirt that is worth checking in the photos. SHEIN’s own Trustpilot critics say fitted items now arrive boxy, so order your usual size and one down.

DAZY Women Solid Color V-Neck Loose Knit Cardigan

A loose, drop-shoulder V-neck cardigan for about $20 that does the cozy look for a season or two.
DAZY is one of SHEIN’s in-house women’s labels, and this cardigan is its relaxed V-neck knit with buttons, a wrap detail and dropped shoulders. The page rates it for late fall, lists a loose fit with slight stretch, and sells every size from XS to XL at the same $20.04 sale price.
Two lines on the page matter more than the photos. The composition is 100% acrylic, which is warm and cheap but prone to pilling and holds odor more than wool or cotton. And SHEIN prints a warning under the size buttons that DAZY follows Asian sizing and runs smaller than SHEIN, which is the opposite of the too-big complaints aimed at the main label. Check the size guide against a cardigan you already own.

$39.29 Plus sizes 0XL to 4XL. On sale for $30.49 in October, a smaller cut than most.
Mostly cotton, high-waisted wide-leg jeans from SHEIN’s plus-size line, but at a markdown that is shallow by SHEIN standards.
This listing sits in the SHEIN LUNE Curve store, so the size run is 0XL to 4XL. The page lists 90% cotton, 6% polyester and 4% viscose, a high waist with an elastic waistband, a baggy straight-to-wide leg and a non-stretch denim, which is a better fabric story than most of the site’s jeans.
The listing is also a good example of why SHEIN product pages need a second read. The title says light blue while the color attribute says grey, and the details list both pocket and no pockets. The discount is only 22%, against 34% to 40% on the other picks here, so this is the one to leave in the cart until a bigger markdown or a free-shipping day. Non-stretch denim plus SHEIN’s uneven sizing means ordering two sizes.

SHEIN BAE Solid Low Waist Linen Pants
$33.69 White. Sale prices ran from $22.26 (XXS) to $24.30 (M) in October.
Sold as white linen beach pants, but the fabric label says something else, and the price changes with the size you pick.
The title says linen three times. The composition line says 84% viscose and 16% linen, with a 100% polyester lining, so these behave more like rayon trousers than the breathable linen the name promises. The page describes a low waist, wide leg, drawstring and non-stretch fabric, with regular sizes from XXS to XL plus Petite, Tall and Tall Curve runs.
Two more oddities: the listing is tagged for late fall temperatures despite the beach-trouser name, and the sale price climbs with size, from $22.26 for XXS to $24.30 for a medium. None of that makes them bad pants. It makes them a bad linen purchase, and white, lined, low-rise trousers bought online are a sizing gamble that SHEIN’s critics on Trustpilot say often misses. Buy real linen elsewhere.

SHEIN holds a 3.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot, labeled Great, but the newest low-rated reviews in October follow a pattern. Several shoppers say returned parcels were confirmed by the carrier yet refunds were refused, or that a package showed as delivered with a photo of the wrong house. Others describe orders where items vanished from the order but the full amount was charged.
The product complaints are more useful for choosing what to buy. One long review says XXS and XS items now fit a size or two large, that tops advertised as fitted arrive boxy, and that stretch fabrics feel hard and plasticky. A marketplace buyer waited days for a seller to answer about a defective wig. Many of the angriest reviews come from UK and EU shoppers, and SHEIN replies to most with a request for an order number.

The first return from an order is free when you use the QR code or label SHEIN provides, subject to its fair-use policy. A second or later return from the same order has $6.99 taken off the refund. Most items can go back within 30 days of delivery, but bodysuits, lingerie, underwear, jewelry, accessories, cosmetics, clearance and final-sale items cannot. Bundle everything you might return into one request.
Is the crossed-out price on SHEIN a real discount?
Treat it with suspicion. Nearly every listing we read showed a struck-through price with 20% to 40% off underneath, and some prices also changed with the size selected. The number you pay is the sale price, so compare that figure with rivals and ignore the percentage badge.
When is shipping free at SHEIN?
Standard shipping is free on orders over $29, and the threshold drops to $15 on Sundays and Thursdays and on your first order. Below that, standard costs $3.99. Express costs $12.90 under $139 and $7.90 above it. Free shipping applies to items shipped by SHEIN; marketplace sellers can set their own thresholds.
