REP Fitness Review 2026: What's Actually Worth Buying

REP’s $349.99 FID bench is the smart buy, but timing matters more here than at most gym brands: Black November starts with Rack Week on November 2, and codes stop working all month.

We may earn a commission if you buy through our links, once we join a brand's program. It never changes a call. How that works.

Best time to buy
Black November. REP’s sale page lists Rack Week from November 2, 2026, then dumbbell, bar, plate and air bike windows, and says it is the year’s best sale.

REP Fitness started in Colorado and sells racks, benches, bars and plates that sit a notch below Rogue on price, with shipping folded in: every order to the lower 48 ships free. Its own warranty table is unusually detailed, and it pays to read it, because coverage swings from lifetime on racks and its own premium bars to six months on 10-pound bumper plates.

The headline advice is about timing. REP runs Black November, a month of rolling deal windows starting with Rack Week on November 2, 2026, and its FAQ says discount codes cannot be used from November 2 to December 1. If you are shopping in October, wait a few weeks. Then buy the AB-3000 2.0 bench, a Colorado Bar and a set of black bumpers.

What to buy (and what not to)

01Smart buyBest for: Flat, incline and decline work

AB-3000 2.0 FID Adjustable Weight Bench

$349.99 Same price in all five colors, with free shipping.

A flat, incline and decline bench rated for 1,000 pounds, at a price that undercuts REP’s own premium benches by $200.

The AB-3000 2.0 is the bench REP calls its best-value FID model. It has eight back angles from -12 to 85 degrees, five seat angles, built-in leg rollers with six positions for decline work, an 11-gauge frame rated for 1,000 pounds and REP’s CleanGrip pads. The seat pad is reversible if you dislike its wider front.

The low reviews, a small minority of almost 2,000, are consistent. It is heavy and awkward to move, several owners wish it stood upright for storage, and tall lifters say the decline position is cramped. A handful mention slight wobble when pressing or on a gym mat, and changing the seat angle needs tools rather than a quick-release. For flat and incline pressing at this price, none of that is a deal-breaker.

Good

  • Decline, flat and incline in one 1,000-pound-rated frame
  • Ten-year warranty on bench frames
  • $200 cheaper than the AB-5200 2.0

Not so good

  • Heavy, cannot be stored upright
  • Decline position feels cramped to some tall users

The numbers

  • Back pad angles -12, 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 70, 85
  • Weight capacity 1,000 lb
  • Bench weight 89.3 lb
  • Seat angles 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 degrees

02Good buyBest for: One bar for everything

Colorado Bar - 20kg

$299.99 Same price in hard chrome or any Cerakote color.

REP’s in-house flagship bar, with a lifetime warranty and the same price whether you pick hard chrome or colored Cerakote.

The Colorado is REP’s mixed-use 20kg bar: a 28.5mm shaft rated at 190ksi, medium volcano-style knurl with dual marks and no center knurl, composite bushings for quiet spin, and a 1,500-pound static rating. REP lists a lifetime warranty, the same as its power bars, while its Black Canyon bar gets five years and the Sabre one.

The finish choice is free, which is rare. Cerakote costs nothing extra here, though reviewers note it wears where the bar sits in J-cups, and several were let down that the colors do not match REP’s racks or benches. Others found the knurl milder than they wanted, and a few bars were scuffed in transit when the end cap on the shipping tube failed. We found no review below four stars on REP’s page.

Good

  • Lifetime warranty on a $299.99 bar
  • Cerakote colors at no extra cost

Not so good

  • Cerakote wears where the bar rests in J-cups
  • Knurl is milder than some lifters want

The numbers

  • Shaft 28.5mm, 190ksi tensile strength
  • Knurl volcano/medium, no center knurl
  • Static rating 1,500 lb
  • Loadable sleeve length 16.1 inches

03Good buyBest for: Plates for a new gym

Black Bumper Plates (LB)

from $69.99 10lb pair. REP’s 160lb set lists at $359.99, shipped free.

Low-bounce black bumpers with steel inserts and a 1% tolerance, priced to undercut most premium plates.

These are REP’s standard bumpers: black rubber with white raised lettering, steel center inserts with molded hooks, a 1% weight tolerance and an extra-thick 1-inch 10lb plate to resist bending. REP says they are factory-tested for more than 12,000 drops from eight feet. Sets run from 160 to 340 pounds.

Read the warranty before you drop them on concrete. The 25 to 55lb plates get three years for home use, but the 10 and 15lb plates get only six months, and REP voids the cover if you mix them with its narrower Hi-Temp plates. The handful of four-star reviews mention white lettering wearing off within a month, a slick surface, a loose fit on the bar, and boxes that arrived crushed.

Good

  • Steel inserts and a 1% weight tolerance
  • Free shipping on heavy plates

Not so good

  • 10 and 15lb plates carry just a six-month warranty
  • White lettering can wear off quickly

The numbers

  • Weight tolerance 1%
  • Inserts steel with molded hooks
  • 10lb plate thickness 1 inch
  • Drop test 12,000-plus drops from 8 feet

04Wait for a saleBest for: A rack to grow into

PR-4000 Power Rack (Pre-Selected)

from $799.94 Entry-level 4-post package. Rack Week opens REP’s Black November sale on November 2, 2026.

REP’s mid-range 3x3 rack in ready-made packages, sold in the same month REP holds a sale week just for racks.

The pre-selected PR-4000 skips the rack builder and offers entry, intermediate and high-end packages in 4-post or 6-post form. Every version uses 3x3-inch 11-gauge steel, 5/8-inch holes, 1-inch spacing through the bench zone and 2-inch elsewhere, 80 or 93-inch uprights and depths from 16 to 41 inches. Rack frames carry REP’s lifetime warranty.

We would wait. REP’s Black November page opens with Rack Week on November 2, so October is the worst month to pay list price. Low reviews raise the powder coat, which scratches easily and arrived chipped for at least one buyer, and the side holes, which are not on 2-inch spacing as one owner expected from the builder images. Another found the 1-inch bench-zone holes too low for their J-cups.

Good

  • Lifetime warranty on the rack frame
  • Packages remove the guesswork of the builder

Not so good

  • Powder coat scratches and chips easily, per reviews
  • Side holes are not on 2-inch spacing

The numbers

  • Steel 3x3-inch 11-gauge
  • Hole size 5/8 inch
  • Upright heights 80 or 93 inches
  • Depths 16, 24, 30 or 41 inches

05Good buyBest for: Small rooms, many weights

QuickDraw - Adjustable Dumbbell (LB)

from $335.99 30lb pair. The 60lb pair is $575.99.

Switch-loaded adjustable dumbbells that grow from a 30 to a 60-pound pair, backed by a lifetime warranty.

QuickDraw uses Lock-N-Load steel switches instead of a dial: flip one or several to pick up plates, with 2.5lb micro plates for 5lb jumps. A 60lb pair replaces 12 pairs of fixed dumbbells, says REP, and you can start with a 30lb pair and add plates later. The handle is a 32mm knurled steel bar, and the warranty is lifetime.

The catch is noise and play. REP’s own FAQ concedes they are not silent, and three-star reviews describe plates that rattle and feel loose as the weight goes up, latches that stick, and micro plates that must be locked before every lift. At 18.5 inches long in the 60lb setting, they are also bulky for curls. Buy the 30lb pair first if you are unsure.

Good

  • Start at 30lb and expand to 60lb later
  • Lifetime warranty on the whole dumbbell

Not so good

  • Plates rattle and feel loose at heavier settings
  • Micro plates need locking before every lift

The numbers

  • Range 5 to 60 lb per dumbbell
  • Handle 32mm steel, volcano knurl
  • 60lb dumbbell length 18.5 inches
  • Warranty lifetime

06Wait for a saleBest for: Zone 2 and sprints alike

Strive Air Bike featuring VPR

$1,299.99 REP’s Black November page lists a flash sale window for this bike.

An air bike whose fan blades change pitch, so resistance no longer depends only on how fast you pedal.

Strive’s Variable Pitch Resistance is a mechanical lever that changes the fan blade angle across eight levels, which lets the same bike do easy cardio and full sprints. It weighs 146 pounds, takes riders up to 350 pounds, and its console pairs with FTMS apps and ANT+ heart rate straps. The frame has five years of cover and moving parts two.

At $1,299.99 it costs hundreds more than a conventional fan bike, and it appears on REP’s list of Black November flash sales, so do not pay full price now. Reviewers love the build but repeat one complaint: the resistance lever has no detents, so levels drift and are hard to repeat. Others dislike the stock seat, pedals and membrane buttons, and one owner wrote that displayed speed comes from RPM alone.

Good

  • Resistance adjusts independently of cadence
  • 350-pound user limit

Not so good

  • Resistance lever has no fixed click stops
  • Stock seat and pedals draw complaints

The numbers

  • Resistance 8 levels via fan blade pitch
  • Max user weight 350 lb
  • Product weight 146 lb
  • Warranty 5 years frame, 2 years moving parts

Reading the one-star reviews

REP’s product pages look almost too good. The AB-3000 2.0 shows 1,911 reviews with just one below three stars, and REP’s black bumper plates and Colorado Bar showed no reviews below four stars at all when we read them. Treat those averages as a ceiling.

Trustpilot rates REP Fitness 2.5 out of 5, “Poor”, from a smaller pool that mixes US and European buyers. The recurring complaints are about service rather than steel: slow or missing replies when an order arrives short, a buyer told to chase the freight carrier for half an order, pricing that changed around tariffs, and Black Friday ads that pictured a better product than the “starting at” price bought. Several reviewers still praise the equipment itself, and one who waited weeks for a reply said REP eventually resolved it. Expect good gear and be ready to follow up in writing.

Things people ask

Does REP Fitness offer discount codes?

Few, and REP says why: it prices low and builds shipping into the price. Its REP Advantage page lists a points program, cart discounts from 5% at $5,000 and up, and local pickup or showroom discounts of 10% to 15% in California, Colorado and Pennsylvania. During Black November, from November 2 to December 1, 2026, online discount codes cannot be used at all.

What does it cost to return something to REP?

More than many shoppers expect. You have 30 days from receipt, must email REP first for a return authorization, and the item has to go back in its original packaging. A return shipping fee comes off your refund, a 15% restocking fee may apply if packaging or hardware is missing, and original shipping is not refunded. Clearance items are final sale and carry no warranty.

Will REP deliver a rack into my garage?

Not necessarily. REP’s FAQ says freight deliveries are curbside, usually from a large truck that needs an appointment. The driver may move the pallet up a driveway or into a garage at their discretion, but cannot bring it into your home or help unbox it. REP partners with Kandu for paid assembly if you want help.
